About

The co-founders of W8 started this company to find a free solution to the everyday problem of long lines. In the summer of 2022, they met as high school students at a University of Pennsylvania entrepreneurship camp. There, they learned how to build a product that was both cost-efficient and benefitted their lives or those around them. After hours of thinking about how to make the wait experience more memorable, W8 was born. Throughout the two weeks at the camp, they conducted user research based on interviews, made a working prototype and a cost model, and pitched to the UPenn community, finishing second out of the entire competition. After the camp ended, the co-founders decided to continue to work on this idea. So, throughout the summer of 2022 and the school year, they built the website, wrote a business plan, and started pitching to local restaurants. And here we are today, on the screen of your device, making your time well spent.
